Strother Field Airport/Industrial Park...

Owned jointly by the cities of Winfield and Arkansas City, Strother Field has been comprehensively planned to efficiently accommodate businesses and recreational flyer as well as corporate jet traffic.

Strother Field is an integral component to the State’s system of airports. The airport does more than serve the area’s businesses and recreational needs. It provides access to our nation’s air transportation network, provides community benefits, and generates economic activity.

The general aviation airport is one of the larger and better equipped community airports in the State of Kansas.  Strother Field (WLD) has two runways, including the 17-35 runway which is 5506’ long and 100’ wide with GPS LPV approach, classified C-II airspace, as well as the 13-31 runway which is 3137’ by 75’. Both runways have pilot activated medium intensity runway lights. Runway 17/35 was rehabilitated in 2014 with new asphalt landing surface, and markings. 100LL AVGas and JetA fuel are available at a self-service pump.
